Amy Schumer, född 1981 i New York, slog igenom 2015 och är idag den hetaste komikern i USA. Tv-serien Inside Amy Schumer (som visats här på TV 3) där sketcher blandas med ståuppnummer och intervjuer är flerfaldigt prisbelönad, och hon rosas för sin roll i filmen Trainwreck som hon också skrivit manus till. 2015 utnämndes hon av Times till en av de 100 mest inflytelserika människorna i världen. Hennes sylvassa feministiska humor rör sig kring sex, kön, relationer, normer, kroppsideal, kvinnoförakt, mansvälde och - inte minst - underliv.

Nu kommer hon också med en mångskiftande samling självbiografiska essäer. Ur sitt förflutna fiskar hon upp historier om allt som skapat henne till den hon är - en kvinna som vågar blottlägga både kropp och själ för att stå upp för det hon tror på, och som får oss alla att skratta.
